Microsoft certification courses have long been popular for IT professionals looking to enhance their skill sets. Trusted by many companies across various industries, top-level Microsoft certificates provide credible proof of an individual's IT knowledge.

According to Computer Dealer News, two of Microsoft certification programs are the hottest tech certificates currently available. Topping the source's list of certificates that IT workers want was the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) program. Reintroduced just last year, this program is focused on providing professionals with a diverse skill set. Additionally, MCSA classes are designed to help IT staffers configure and plan for building complex technology setups.

The source reported that there are five different versions of the certification that cover Windows Server 2012, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2012. Each of these programs are used by a number of businesses, meaning that IT employees should be able to manage such systems.

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) training was ranked No. 2 by Computer Dealer News and is a more advanced certificate than MCSA. In fact, obtaining an MCSA is a prerequisite for MCSE certification.

The central aspect of MCSE training is the integration of various technologies into single systems. The source noted that MCSE courses highlight both cloud and on-site solutions, which can help IT professionals build a flexible skill set that can help them find solutions for an array of businesses. Currently, there are eight variations of MCSE certification, including SharePoint and Server Infrastructure programs, two of the more popular classes.

Certificates provide motivation
Even for the most experienced IT professionals, investing in Microsoft training is a wise decision, according to ITWorld. Even if a professional has a significant level of understanding of many tech products and services, additional training will only increase their ability to configure and manage technology. Also, the source noted that many organizations that offer training courses provide a variety of resources for IT professionals. From networking tools to career development services, such enterprises provide a number of useful resources for trainees.

Some certificates require IT workers to re-certify after a given period, which means that certificate holders continue to educate themselves. Being involved in such classes can help industry professionals stay up-to-date on the latest trends and practices within the tech world, the source noted. This shows the practical value of engaging in training activity.
